Déflagration sociale (2016/2018)

Déflagration social, for double bass and ensemble or orchestra, is a piece written for the Crosscurrents project, coordinated by the Liszt Academy of Music, Universität fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien and the Sibelius Academy. It was premiered in Budapest on 20th May 2016 and its orchestral version was premiered in Helsinki on 28th April 2018 by Henrica Fagerlund and the Kapubändi Orchestra, conducted by Kornilios Michailidis.

The generative idea of this piece is the deflagration as a metaphor of the silent, gradual and in some cases enormously dangerous structural changes that some human communities experience due to social exclusion
