Svarta rosor (2015)
Svarta rosor, for alto flute, bass clarinet and bassoon, was written for Zagros Ensemble and premiered in Helsinki on 4th May 2015 within the celebrations of Jean Sibelius' 150th anniversary.
This piece was inspired in the idealistic existence of black roses, after a poem written by Ernst Josephson set to music by Sibelius. After its first performance it has been played in Hungary, Iceland, Finland and Poland, in the Ung Nordisk Music Festival 2017 and SibaFest 2018, and it has been awarded an honor mention in the 1st Witold Szalonek Composition Competition.
