Somos tu voz (2020)

Somos tu voz, for sign-language choir and piano or orchestra, was commissioned by the Cantatutti Inclusive Choir and premiered online in May 2021 and live in January 2022 with Cantatutti and the Zaragoza City Orchestra.

The piece has been co-created with the Cantatutti Inclusive Choir, and gives voice to this fascinating initiative by Borja Juan supported by the Chair of Music and Social Inclusion of the University of Zaragoza (Spain), where people with functional diversity and diverse socio-cultural backgrounds join forces and make music using their voices and their hands. The text has been written collaboratively by the members of Cantatutti, depicting their emotions and everyday life as participants of this inclusive choir.
